It's been a while...

I resurrected this blog back in the beginning of October to only find myself completely overwhelmed with sessions that I just couldn't keep up with shooting, editing, teaching (since that is my day job!), parenting, etc., and this blog.

Then January and February came and with those months came a lull in activity...which is the norm. But here we are at the end of March, and I have some new sessions to share!

Yesterday I had a sweet 6 month old come visit me (I did her newborn session as well). She was a TOUGH one to make smile, but we did get some super adorable shots...if I do say so myself!

Fall is in the air!

The fall colors are starting to make an appearance, and I love that families are taking advantage of this time of the year! This family right here...one of my absolute favorites!!! He is just adorable and his parents are so easy-going. 

And here is what you should know when you hire me...I don't expect toddlers to stay put. It would be NICE if that happened, but it doesn't always work that way. Toddlers just seem to have a mind of their own and they just want to go and explore. So, I do the same. In between trying to get them to stop and pose for a few seconds, I chase them around the park. The above picture was snapped as he climbed up on a small crate. And the top picture I captured as his parents chased him up a hill. My goal is for you to have a very enjoyable session...constantly fighting with your toddler to stay still and smile won't be enjoyable...

Just food for thought! :-)

Coming Back!

It has been quite a while since I last utilized my blog. It's not that I have stopped taking pictures--quite the contrary, really. It's just that I got really, really busy juggling all the many hats I wear--mom, wife, teacher, photographer, entrepreneur, etc., and I just lost a desire to be present here in my little space on the web. Instead, I just relied on my Facebook page to spread the word.

I am still juggling all those hats, BUT, I feel it's time to rejuvenate this blog!!!

Fall is a pretty busy time of the year for me--school goes back in session, kids go back to school, soccer and cross country kick into high gear, and LOTS of people want family photo sessions. One of my favorite new families this fall is this family right here:

They were so super sweet and so easy to work with. I very much enjoyed this session. <3

Christmas is coming!

Wow. I cannot believe I haven't updated this blog since September! I have just been so busy with work AND picture sessions, that this poor blog sadly found it's way to the bottom of my priority list.

But not today!

Last night I had the opportunity to use my new Christmas backdrops in my studio (feels weird to call that room my studio, but, hey, that's what it is!). The kids were so much fun!!! It was a challenge to wrangle all three into one picture, but right at the end, sweet little Nova decided to sit down and join her cousins!

Such cute boys!!

Today, these cute boys and their sweet mamma came to see me today. We were supposed to go to a park since we did inside shots last April, but it was RAINY today, so inside we went.



The last time I saw baby W. in the spring, he wasn't walking, and now, he is all over the place!




They make the cutest looking brothers, in my opinion!

Working the studio--Birthday Pics

Yesterday I utilized my natural light studio to take pictures for Bryce's second birthday. His mamma is so good at getting him to smile and laugh which helped me get some pretty cute images of him!
